So the little bottle labelled Alnwick Gin turns out, on closer inspection, to be a gin, lime and ginger liqueur.
I knew that when I purchased it, but as that was September 2018, I had forgotten.
An excellent choice for the “I’m out of whisky, and out of mixers, this will have to do” grab. Smooth, sweet and slips down easy.
Thank goodness it’s only a 20cl bottle, or I would be under the table by now!
