I’ve been using my Harmony hub with remote for a month now, and it has been extremely successful. I have it controlling my TV, my DVD player, my YouView box, my Fire TV Stick and my stereo.

In the last month, I have had to resort to using an original remote just twice, when I found I was missing a function. However, each time, the learning ability meant I was able to plug each gap as I came to it.

My new CPAP mask has arrived. It is one of a very different type that I am trying – the DreamWear FitPack Nasal Mask

I’ve recently been having skin problems, particularly on my forehead, where my normal CPAP mask has a silicon pad to support the mask fit. So I wanted to try something totally different.

Part of my haul from Amazon’s Prime Day was a Harmony Hub, which I picked up at a very good discount.

I had previously purchased a Harmony remote, a year or so back, but it didn’t support the kit I thought it did, so it went back. This time I did a little research and was confident this would do the job.

I think it was in 2010 that I bought my current recliner. I was actually shopping for carpets in AFS, and they had it on display as a customer return. The salesman said the customer had bought a full suite, including the recliner, and then found they didn’t have room for all the furniture they had purchased.

Whether that was true or not, I don’t know, but ended up buying a decent new manual recliner for just 99 quid. The colour was a kind of bright peach, but I didn’t care – I liked it.

My guitar playing friends sometimes play a game. They work out just how many guitars they own, laugh and shake their heads sadly, and admit that yes, that is quite enough, isn’t it. Then they go out and buy another one.

I consider myself more of a singer than a guitarist, so for a long time considered myself immune to the game. Then one day I actually counted the 6-strings, 12-strings, strumsticks and ukuleles, not to mention the tenor guitar and guitar banjo, and nearly had a fit.

Random observations regarding my sleep. I’ve got a sleep clinic appointment coming up next week, so this is currently on my mind.

Sometimes I wake up early in the morning, and manage to roll over and go back to sleep. However, I find that the less time I have to catch those extra z’s, sometimes it leaves me feeling more tired than if I had just got up when I woke.

Todoist is a Task List (ToDo) organiser. It has a web page interface as well as Android and Apple apps. It is really easy to use, and allows you to categorise your tasks into separate projects. So, for example, these are my own projects:

• Personal – appointments, music practice targets, reminders to call people etc.

Since getting my Ricoh Theta S, I have used various methods to display my images here. This is a post that brings together my currently recommended methods, to show folk using the same kit what can be done.

Note that this Wordpress blog is self-hosted, which gives me free rein over what methods and plugins I use. Others using hosted solutions such as Wordpress.com may be more limited.
