I have had a VOIP/SIP client on my phone for some time – SIPDroid. It is a popular client, and I could use it to make calls through my work VOIP phone system. However, it would never ring when a call came in, which limited its use.
The trip will include staying with various filkers throughout the California state, attending Consonance, and spending time exploring both Los Angeles and San Franciso.
I have The Butterfly Effect on DVD, and – unlike the so-called sequels, it is a pretty decent sf film about changing timelines, with an incredibly dark ending.

It’s a story I followed 4 years ago, and I am not particularly interested in the rehash of it all – there is nothing really exceptional about her coming back to Britain and it is a bit of a non-story. But I am irritated by the way it is being reported. Practically all of the British media start their articles with words like “Molly Campbell, now known as Misbah Rana”, or “Molly Campbell, who changed her name to Misbah Rana when she went to Pakistan”.
Of course, it is a joke, but there is some element of truth in that, especially if the large fortune you are using is someone else’s.
“The CIA has launched a taskforce to assess the impact of 250,000 leaked US diplomatic cables. Its name? WikiLeaks Task Force, or WTF for short.”
The job for the weekend is to try and get myself straight, and get some furniture back in the house from the conservatory and garage. If things go well on Saturday, I may drive up to the FilkCon on the Sunday for the day, but it’s equally likely that I may just want to put my feet up. Sorry guys, but having lived with my house in a semi mess for a few months, I desparately want to get straight.
