Having tried my new mask for a few nights, I declared it a success, and decided to buy a couple more, to put away. However, by this time, the eBay seller had sold their stock.
So I headed over to http://www.sleep-tight.co.uk/, where I had seen the same mask advertised, for only a couple of quid more than I have paid on eBay. They didn’t have them in stock; I could have waited 7 days (after all, I had a working mask), but I thought I’d look to see what else they had.
Which is why I ended up ordering this mask – the BMC iVolve mask. It is the same basic design, with a dual-wall silicon cushion. For those who this means nothing to, it means the cushion that holds the mask against your face is a cushion within a cushion – the top layer very soft for comfort, the lower layer more firm for a snug fit. Both layers are inflated by the air passing through the mask.
These masks looked the part, and at 39 quid a mask (plus postage), I decided to chance buying two.
They had just arrived, and are very good quality – indeed, better than my other recent purchase, although I am still perfectly happy with that one.
So I now have 3 working masks, which means I think I can retire/dispose of my slightly broken spare. One of the new masks can live in the bag of my backup CPAP machine, which doubles as my travel machine; so I don’t have to rearrange my bedside every time I go on a trip.
